You fit it into your schedule by wanting to do it. At first you have to force a routine, but eventually you start to feel like shit if you don’t stay active. Ideally you want to get to a point where you’d prefer to run/bike/lift/whatever than do some other leisure activity, and that’s when the time presents itself.
And no I didn’t enjoy working out until about 2 years ago. It helps to do your exercise routine first thing in the morning for a while, no excuses. It also helps to have some friends with similar lifestyles who are into exercise too, so it feels like the norm and not some weird thing you’re trying. Kate Beaton and I started lifting together when we were roomies and decided we wanted to be Cool Warrior Cartoonists. We don’t live in the same place anymore but we still inspire each other with fitness talk! Plus we love #eggs.
