You guys I’m back in New York, finally! And I will be at the Grand Comics Festival in Brooklyn, NY this weekend:
It’s a FREE event and the exhibitor line-up looks rad as hell. Since it’s a local show, I will be bringing a small number of rare, out-of-print Octopus Pie books. Come snap those up if you are the collecting type, or if you’ve been longing for a (someday soon) reprint of volume 1. I’ll have a OP few minis and Marceline issues as well. COME BY!

It’s true that Octopus Pie is ending. There are 2 chapters left (after the current one, which is almost over). They will both be fairly dense, as there is a large cast to cover, some ends to tie up. I’m not sure exactly the length, but my rough estimate from today is about 6 months.
It’s a webcomic, so who can say I won’t get a wild hair and stretch things out. But OP’s 10th anniversary is May 14th, 2017; I’ve promised myself it will run no longer than that.
Thanks for asking - I’ve been wanting an opportunity to clarify! I’ve seen a lot of people eulogizing already, but I’ve got lots planned, and it’s going to be fun. You’ll love it.

Octopus Pie premiered this week 5 years ago, in 2007. To celebrate, here are some weird old drawings of the characters before I had a series in mind for them. Most of these were done around 2006, but some were drawn earlier when I was in college.
